Department of Planning, Industry & Environment planning site
THE CHALLENGE
PING was approached by DPIE to update the existing templates and component designs on the Planning website in order to align with the NSW Digital Design System and refresh the interface of the site.
THE SOLUTION
PING revised the UX to optimise the user experience as well as provide consistency across the NSW Government sites. The resulting revamp helped enhance the brand identity and created a flexible platform for later improvements to the environment.
PING worked in tandem with the DPIE team to redefine the front-end interface to align with the NSW Digital Design System and deliver the new site in a responsive, CMS-friendly interface.
The project also included the production of interactive mapping components to demonstrate the various objectives, purposes, and action plans for each of the regional arears of NSW.
THE RESULTS
The new site enhanced the search interface and provided a clean overall user experience which resulted in a higher rates of user engagement and findability of content across the numerous regional initiatives.
